Study for a portrait (Violetta)

2001, single-channel retro video projection, black & white, silent, fan, 16 sec loop

This small video installation is shown in a completely darkened room of 200 x 400 cm, so narrow that it admits only a few visitors at a time. In the room there is a video-projection of a young woman with her hair softly blown by a fan. The fan is installed invisibly, and very softy blows over the heads of the visitors, so that they sense what they are seeing.
